Personal data we collect

Personal data includes any information that identifies you directly (e.g., first name) or indirectly (e.g., email address, phone number) as well as information associated with you (e.g., conversation history or music preferences).

While signing up for Mercutio does not require you to provide information that identifies you directly, using the service may lead you to share information that is considered personal. For this reason, Mercutio treats all collected information as personal data.

Analytics and audience measurement

We use Matomo Analytics, hosted by Matomo Cloud in the European Union, to understand product usage and improve Mercutio. This processing relies on our legitimate interest. IP addresses are anonymised, no third-party trackers are dropped, and raw event data is kept for 13 months maximum. You can opt out at any time by clicking this link or via the cookie banner.

Mercutio implements technical, physical and organisational safeguards (encryption, access controls, logging, staff training, contractual clauses) to protect your data.

Data sharing

Data is processed in France and may be shared with providers and partners worldwide. We require appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and security measures.

Service providers

We rely on hosting, payment, analytics and advertising providers. Data sharing is limited to what is necessary and they must protect your information.

Partners

We may share data with telecom operators, media groups, music labels or audio manufacturers, strictly when required and under security obligations.

Other recipients

We may share data with parent companies, subsidiaries, in the event of mergers or acquisitions, or with law enforcement when legally required.

Access and portability

You may request access to and a copy of your data by contacting Customer Support.

Rectifying data

You can update contact details and user content in your profile, as well as payment information in your subscription settings.

Deleting data

You can delete your account and associated data from your settings or by contacting Customer Support.

Withdrawing consent

You can manage your cookie preferences via the information banner (“Manage my cookies”) or in your account settings. You may also object to Matomo audience measurement at any time by using the opt-out mechanism provided below.
